Baking has always been a creative outlet — a way to express oneself through sweets. As bakers have gotten more expressive and experimental, many have sought new techniques to up their baking game.
InkEdibles, a high-quality supplier of edible ink, paper, and decoration supplies, had gained a loyal following of bakers who were sharing their printed, edible creations made using InkEdibles products. This resulted in authentic content from the bakers-turned-creators, ranging from milestone birthday cakes to innovative baby announcements to festive cookie postcards.
This group of enthusiastic creators was small, and InkEdibles wanted to build upon those 1:1 relationships to create a large, active community. InkEdibles partnered with EnTribe to help grow its creator community and further drive sales by providing inspiration through a content gallery.
Through EnTribe’s managed services, the InkEdibles team was able to build the foundation for an affiliate program by first engaging the existing customers and bakers. To do so, the EnTribe team uploaded InkEdibles’ customer list and sent those individuals an email invitation to join the creator community.
Once creators uploaded content through the widget link, an automatic email was sent from the EnTribe platform rewarding the creator with a unique coupon code that could be redeemed on the InkEdibles website.
As the content pieces started to fly in, EnTribe helped InkEdibles build a customized content gallery to feature the sweet creations. Unique filters enabled fellow bakers to search the content by products used, type of creation, and theme — allowing for easy research and discovery.
With very specific calls to action, InkEdibles inspired its creators to engage with a high degree of frequency — 100+ creators have each submitted content up to four times!
InkEdibles now has a gallery that houses over 200 brand-approved pieces of user-generated content (UGC) where bakers can go to get inspired and collaborate with each other.
Furthermore, the coupon codes that were sent to creators as a reward were redeemed on the InkEdibles website and drove additional sales, validating that these creators saw the positive value exchange in participating in the InkEdibles community.
